Job Summary

Apprenticely is working with our company partner the Scott Family Amazeum to add a Graphic Designer Intern to their team in Bentonville Arkansas!

Our Apprenticely Internship Program is a three-month program that places selected candidates with employers across Arkansas in IT positions to gain experience under the guidance of a professional mentor/IT support team. Internships are designed as an on-ramp to an IT career and can roll into full-time positions based on employer demand.

About our Company Partner:The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas and recognized as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to engage the imagination of children and their families through interactive exhibits programs and resources while creating an excitement for lifelong learning and the enrichment of lives! They create a fun environment where risk taking imagining problem solving discovery collaboration and exploration bring children and adults together to learn and grow!

Through experiences with the Amazeum individuals and the community are engaged in building relationships and developing identities as creative curious and innovative shapers for the region. Learning at the Amazeum is an active playful exploration that inspires curiosity. It is rooted in inquiry-based discovery and involves an element of risk. Hands-on learning opportunities allow guests to exercise critical thinking in the context of play.

What Youll Do...

Design and develop marketing materials such as digital ads social media graphics and print materials that are visually appealing and effectively communicate the Amazeums intendedmessage.
Collaborate ccross-functionally to gather design requirements and feedbackensuring accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines.
Manage and maintain the organizations website and social media presence ensuring that content isup-to-date accurate and optimized for search engines.
Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement
Organize and manage digital assets such as photos videos and graphics for easy access and sharing.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design software to continuously improve design skills and techniques.

Our Must Haves...

Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite Canva iOS Final Cut Pro orother similar tools.
A thorough understanding of branding and marketing
Knowledge or experience with content creation management or production
Basic coding experience with HTML Java and CSS
An online portfolio that demonstrates skills and creativity
Strong leadership organization and communication skills
Exhibited technical aptitude through projects experience or online learning and ability to communicate what you know
Ability to pass a standard background check and standard drug screen
Current Arkansas state resident
Ability to work full-time in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship

Details

Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
Length of Internship: 3 months
Location: Bentonville Arkansas

$15 - $15 an hour

How does the interview process work ACDS will conduct an initial phone interview and assessment. ACDS will send selected resumes to companies that match the candidates skills and interests. Our employer partners will decide who to interview and select the final candidates for the internship program.
