Grant Writer & Communications Coordinator

Job Summary
- The Grant Writer and Communications Coordinator will be required to have a bachelors degree in marketing communications journalism English or a related field and 3-5 years of related experience (including grant writing experience) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent writing editing proofreading and oral communications skills with proven ability to analyze organize and use complex information for multiple audiences across multiple mediums.
- Aptitude to competently manage multiple and diverse projects and use independent judgment on when and how to respond to shifting priorities and the unexpected.
- Exercise good judgment and take initiative to complete projects in a timely manner often under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills effective teamwork and strong service mentality.
- Outstanding organization and project management skills.
- Understanding of sales and marketing processes and supporting communications materials (such as grant/RFP responses PowerPoint presentations blogs white papers etc.).
- Ability to distill industry/subject matter-specific language into customer-friendly language.
- Proficiency with MS Office products Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms required.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships both internal and external to help achieve business outcomes.
- Experience with Wordpress MailChimp and marketing automation software preferred.
- Experience working with data infographics or data visualization experience preferred.
- Familiarity with workforce development and/or economic development preferred.
