Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with an Illinois school district to find a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary resource room serving students in grades 35. This full-year assignment is an opportunity to deliver focused academic support tailor instruction to individual abilities and help students develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive in school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.
- Assess student performance and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress with the school team.
- Reinforce grade-level concepts and adapt instructional materials to support diverse learners.
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students learning needs and IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers special education staff related service providers and families.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Strong teaching classroom management and organizational abilities.
- Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with students families and school personnel.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
