GPS Graduate Admissions Specialist (Part-Time, Temporary)

Job Summary
General Summary of Position:
The GPS UG admissions team is seeking a part-time admissions specialist. This role is vital to supporting the needs of the UG admissions team through various administrative tasks customer service and student support. A strong desire to provide top-tier customer service is a must.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; answering phones processing paperwork related to student applications processing course registrations for non-matriculated students entering transfer credit information answering emails and updating and maintaining student records.
New employees will be trained to gain a working knowledge of our Student Information System (SiS) and our available student services. They will also work with UMASS Lowell faculty students and staff and will handle confidential information.
Seeking a candidate that has outstanding phone and email etiquette and the ability to answer questions in a professional and timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- HS diploma or GED/equivalent required background in customer support
- Preference for those with previous higher education experience
- Must be proficient in MS office
This is an on-campus 18 hours per week position. The GPS office is open from 8:30 am-8 pm M-Th and 8:30 am-5p Fri. The ideal candidate will be available to work at least one shift each week until 8 pm.
