Job Description
Shift: 1st Shift
Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Work Location: On-Site (Mankato MN)
Starting Salary: $72600 - $108900
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:
Support the organizations government business operations by providing cost-related information and overseeing cost and rate audits in compliance with government regulations primarily in the defense sector.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate cost calculations and quotes for government products ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
Regularly update and analyze the financial performance of the government segment focusing on cost rates.
Maintain and update cost rates essential for pricing contracts with the federal government.
Efficiently manage Government Property encompassing marking physical inventory contract compliance and government regulatory requirements.
Lead and oversee DCMA or DCAA audits pertaining to costs rates and other financial data associated with government contracts.
Exhibit expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) regulations.
Provide necessary support to the Controller and Government Segment leader to facilitate business interactions with the federal government.
Collaborate with various functional departments within the organization as required.
Assist in billing milestones and address collection issues as they arise.
Experience/Skills:
2-4 years of experience in accounting with a focus on cost accounting coupled with 2-4 years of experience in government compliance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Oracle software is preferred.
Education:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
Additional coursework or on-the-job training in government compliance and government property management is a plus.
