Google Workspace Architect

• Remote opportunity
• Minimal travel required
• Occasional travel for project kickoff leadership meetings and architecture workshops
• Potential trip to New York during the engagement
• Majority of work will be performed remotely

• Design and maintain the overall Google Workspace architecture including OU structure security policies and governance
• Experienced user of Chromebooks as Google Workspace will be run/used on Chromebooks company-wide
• Lead migrations to Google Workspace from Microsoft 365 on-prem Exchange or other platforms
• Configure and manage SSO/SAML MFA context-aware access DLP and endpoint management
• Architect solutions for Drive sharing data retention (Google Vault) and compliance requirements
• Automate administration using Google Apps Script GAM and Admin SDK APIs
• Partner with IT Security and business teams on rollout change management and user adoption
• Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and Google Workspace Marketplace apps
• Provide Tier 3 support and create documentation/runbooks for IT operations
• Stay current on Google Workspace roadmap Gemini for Workspace and recommend improvements

• 5 years administering Google Workspace at enterprise scale (500 users)
• 2 years in an architect or lead engineer role
• Deep expertise in Admin Console Gmail routing Drive and identity/access management
• Experience with Google Cloud Identity GCP fundamentals and directory sync (GCDS)
• Strong understanding of security best practices: DLP encryption Vault audit logs
• Scripting/automation experience (Apps Script Python GAM)
• Google Workspace Administrator or Professional Collaboration Engineer certification

• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect
• Experience with large-scale migrations and M&A integrations
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 coexistence
• ITIL or change management experience

• A secure well-governed Workspace environment with minimal downtime
• High user adoption and satisfaction
• Clear policies for sharing retention and access that meet compliance needs
