About HYFIX
At HYFIX we are building pioneering Spatial AI and autonomous systems to shape the future of intelligent technology. Our team is global forward-thinking and passionate about innovation. We thrive on solving complex challenges and are committed to creating solutions that push the boundaries of whats possible.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled GNSS Systems Engineer with strong hands-on experience in GNSS hardware module development and performance optimization especially for UAV drone and ground robotics. This role focuses on personally evaluating debugging and optimizing the performance of GNSS chipsets modules and system integration for drone and robotics with direct ownership of RF and firmware-level performance issues while working closely with firmware engineers and RF teams.
Key Responsibilities
GNSS Module Development & Chipset Understanding
Hands-on contribution to GNSS module design bring-up performance debugging and production readiness including active technical review.
Hands-on understanding and practical experience with GNSS chipset internals including baseband behavior tracking loops and performance tradeoffs.
Hands-on debugging and optimization of RF front-end design antenna integration matching networks and signal integrity.
Review and debug GNSS module schematics PCB layouts and RF signal paths to identify root causes of sensitivity loss noise or interference.
Signal Processing & Tracking
Hands-on debugging of GNSS signal tracking and acquisition including multi-frequency processing and interference mitigation.
Analyze raw GNSS measurement data (IQ samples tracking logs navigation messages) to identify tracking instability or degraded positioning accuracy.
Embedded Systems & Firmware
Hands-on debugging and optimization of embedded RTOS and Linux C/C firmware running directly on GNSS modules.
Troubleshoot firmwarehardware integration issues at the GNSS module and chipset interface.
Implement and validate firmware updates to improve GNSS module performance across lab field and production environments.
Hands-on experience using ARM and/or RISC-V toolchains to debug and profile GNSS firmware.
Performance Analysis Debugging & Production Readiness
Lead GNSS chipset and module evaluations under real-world lab and field conditions.
Diagnose GNSS issues related to RF interference noise coupling antenna behavior multipath timing sensor fusion and hardware-induced anomalies.
Drive chipset optimization and module readiness through EVT/DVT/PVT and mass production in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Produce clear technical documentation test reports and data-driven recommendations.
System Integration Drones & Robotics
Design and integrate wireless communication systems enabling UAV telemetry command-and-control (C2) and high-bandwidth payload data (such as 4K video or LiDAR).
Ensure robust connectivity in challenging environments from urban canyons to remote industrial sites.
This role is hands-on and execution-focused not primarily a systems architecture or requirements-definition position.
Required Qualifications
Masters degree in engineering (Electrical Computer Robotics Aerospace or related field).
Deep understanding of GNSS systems tracking loops signal structures (GPS Galileo BeiDou GLONASS) interference and multipath.
Strong hands-on experience with embedded RTOS & Linux C/C firmware debugging and hardware bring-up.
Experience with RF systems antennas and GNSS module hardware.
Ability to analyze GNSS raw data tracking logs and RF measurements.
Strong debugging skills across hardware firmware and signal domains.
Nice to Have Qualifications
Experience with GNSS high-precision technologies including PVT RTK PPP and multi-frequency positioning.
Hands-on experience with GNSS IMU sensor fusion including integration calibration and performance tuning.
Benefits
401(k)
Dental insurance
Vision insurance
Paid time off
Professional development assistance
