An experienced journey-level glazier earns a competitive union salary of $53.51 per hour and eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. This position is for journey-level glaziers who have completed an apprenticeship program with IUPAT or equivalent glass & glazing union. This is a first shift operation with a work schedule of about 6:00am - 2:30pm. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GLAZIER

As a Glazier you will be responsible for installing commercial glass using putty rubber gaskets or metal clips. You will set glass and doors using a variety of hand tools such as screw guns. Depending on the height of the building glass will be installed by hand or with scaffolding or out of boom lifts when over 6 feet.

Working from blueprints and design layouts you will ensure accurate completion of glazing jobs in a wide variety of commercial settings and all weather conditions. Attention to detail and accuracy are key to success. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.

GLAZIER QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School degree / GED required
• 3 years glazing experience required and as a union journey-level.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. assisted.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day with frequent lifting carrying kneeling bending and stretching.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and read blueprints.
• Confidence in working on scaffolding boom lifts and other cranes.
• Valid drivers license

PAY RATE

Journey-level Glaziers make $53.51/hr. plus pension and health benefits.

WORK SCHEDULE

This glazier position is full-time with a schedule of 6:00 AM 2:30 PM and paid overtime beyond 8 hours daily.
