GIS Environmental Planning Student Intern (Melville)

H2M architects engineers a multi-discipline architectural engineering and environmental consulting firm with multiple offices in NY & NJ seeks qualified interns to work closely with experienced professionals in ourGIS/Planning Division at our Melville NY office. The Intern will be responsible for:General administrative tasks Assist with the development and maintenance of various forms of GIS data. Assist in preparing Environmental Assessment Forms and Environmental Impact Statements Organize project files and compile reports containing multiples chapters and appendices. Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:Enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a Geography Environmental Science/Studies Geology Urban Planning Engineering Political Science or related discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint. Eagerness to learn. Ability to work individually as well as in a team. Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
