Genetic Counseling Assistant

Shodair is looking to add a Genetic Counseling Assistant to our Medical Genetics team! The Genetic Counseling Assistant will work as a team member with the Genetic Counselors and other clinicians assisting them with aspects of patient intake genetic counseling documentation and post-clinic follow-up duties.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Has experience with patient and family contact in a community or medical setting
• Has experience with clinical projects
• Can establish priorities and organize work as needed
• Has basic computer skills
• Has excellent customer service skills

EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE;

• Required education and experienceHigh School Degree or GED. Prior experience with patient and or family contact in a community or medical setting. Previous experience with clinical projects either in an administrative or clinical role strongly preferred.
• Preferred education and experience Bachelors degree in healthcare biological/health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
