At Powerton Generators we provide generator sales installation and service to bring emergency backup power solutions to homes and businesses throughout Central Pennsylvania. What Youll Do as a Generator Service Technician

• Perform routine maintenance and service on emergency backup generators and related equipment to keep systems running reliably.
• Diagnose electrical mechanical and engine issues to identify problems and determine effective repairs.
• Repair diesel and natural gas engines and associated generator components.
• Program generator controls and remote monitoring devices to support dependable system operation.
• Complete startup testing and commissioning of generator power systems to ensure proper performance.
• Travel to 26 customer locations daily within approximately a two-hour radius of our Lebanon PA shop.
• Troubleshoot a variety of generator systems while working independently at customer sites.

Our Ideal Generator Service Technician

• Skilled Trades Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in engine mechanics electrical mechanical HVAC or a related skilled trade.
• Technical Problem-Solver: Enjoy troubleshooting equipment diagnosing issues and finding practical solutions to electrical and mechanical challenges.
• Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn generator controls and remote monitoring technology.
• Dependable & Safety-Conscious: Hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. bending kneeling standing for extended periods and using hand tools.
• Customer-Focused: Communicate professionally pay attention to details and provide reliable service while working independently at customer locations.
• Values-Driven Team Player: Demonstrate integrity a positive attitude and a commitment to treating customers and coworkers with respect.
