JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

This General Laborer is an entry level type position. Responsibilities for this position include manual labor in various departments depending on current shop load and demand.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform various general laborer job duties as needed including light assembly simple machine operation packaging shipping and receiving etc.
• Willingness to cross train and perform other job tasks when necessary.
• Follow and maintain strict adherence to safety regulations/maintain safe work area.
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
• Strong work ethic.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Able to work within a team environment and willing to follow direction.
• Must possess a positive can do attitude.
• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand talk or hear for 1 to 10 hours a day. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk squat/kneel bend/stoop twist/turn grasp and reach overhead and outward. While performing this job the employee is required to lift boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a 55 90 degree Fahrenheit environment. Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing vision protection hearing protection steel-toed shoes and other appropriate protective clothing.

This is a full time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including but not limited to the position offered location education training and/or experience.
