Salary Range: $175000 $225000 per year (USD)

Position Overview

We are a leading security services organization seeking a handson General Counsel who can seamlessly blend corporate litigation and employment law expertise. The ideal candidate will drive legal strategy manage highvolume employment mattersincluding wageandhour and PAGA class actionsand protect the companys interests across all corporate transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all corporate legal affairs: entity formation governance M&A contracts intellectual property and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and execute a proactive litigation strategy for commercial disputes employment claims and class actions.
  • Own employmentlaw matters with a focus on wageandhour PAGA and other labor class actions affecting a large hourly workforce.
  • Advise senior leadership and the board on riskmanagement policy development and strategic business decisions.
  • Draft negotiate and review employment agreements employee handbooks separation agreements and other HRrelated documents.
  • Oversee investigations internal audits and compliance programs to mitigate legal exposure.
  • Manage external counsel relationships and control outsidecounsel budgets.
  • Mentor and supervise junior legal staff providing training on corporate and employmentlaw best practices.
Essential Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license (required).
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive legal experience with at least 4 years in a senior inhouse or lawfirm leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employment law especially wageandhour and PAGA litigation.
  • Strong background in corporate law M&A contracts and general business litigation.
  • Experience supporting large hourly workforcespreferably in services staffing or security sectors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication negotiation and decisionmaking skills.
  • High ethical standards practical problemsolving ability and a handson work style.
Desired Experience
  • Track record of managing multijurisdictional employment claims and class actions.
  • Leadership experience guiding a legal team or department.
  • Familiarity with dataprivacy regulations (CCPA GDPR) and cybersecurity risk.
  • Experience with corporate governance board advisory and shareholder matters.
