General Assembler

Job Summary

We are hiring an Assembler General (Press Operator) for a rubber molding facility in Sumter SC. This role involves conducting quality checks on rubber stopper pads and operating a heated press machine. 2 positions available.

• Conduct quality checks on rubber stopper pads

• Operate a heated press machine

• Use a mallet hammer and other hand tools

• Perform fabrication assembly testing and packaging tasks for medical devices

• Set up operate maintain and troubleshoot equipment

• Conduct quality inspections on the processing line per quality specifications

• Work within clearly defined SOPs and adhere to quality guidelines

• Communicate effectively with coworkers and Team Lead/Supervisor

• Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed

• 0 to 5 years of relevant experience

• Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience required

• Previous manufacturing work experience preferred

• Ability to read write interpret and comprehend specifications written in English

• Basic math calculation skills

• Ability to use basic tools of measurement such as microscopes

• Good attention to detail

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Comfortable using hand tools (mallet hammer etc.)

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Must pass eye exam

• Steel toe or composite-toe shoes required

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

• No drug screening required for this assignment

• Background check must clear (may start with background pending)

• Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment

• Willing to work H-Shift schedule (3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off including weekends)
