Full-time Hospitalist Days

Ellis Medicine is seeking afull-time Physician Hospitalistto join our collaborative Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experiencedhospitalistor a new graduate seeking a supportive team-based practice with a predictable7-on/7-off schedule strong APP support broad specialty availability and no required procedures.

Our Hospital Medicine physicians care for a diverse inpatient population across approximately six units while working closely with APPs nursing and consulting specialists. A dedicated physician admitter provides additional support each day allowing roundinghospitalists to focus on ongoing patient care.

Position Highlights

• Full-time 7-on/7-off schedule
• 12-hour shifts:
• Day Shift Schedule: 7:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m.
• Closed ICU
• No procedures required
• Access to a broad range of specialty services

Clinical Responsibilities

PhysicianHospitalists will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care including:

• Evaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients
• Daily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans
• Coordination of care with nursing APPs consultants patients and families
• Admission and discharge management
• Responding toRapid Response eventsas assigned
• Participation in multidisciplinary care planning
• Appropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services
• Providing high-quality evidence-based inpatient care

No procedural responsibilities are required allowing physicians to focus on diagnosis treatment care coordination and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
• Strong clinical communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to compassionate patient-centered care

• Guaranteed compensation of $382200with the ability to earn more through productivity
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance extra shift incentives and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.
