We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and help shape our NF Pet Flagship AI initiative.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact effort focused on applying AI as a core part of the solution not as an add-on. The engineer in this role will contribute to building modern scalable capabilities that use AI to solve real business problems and improve outcomes.

Our team works within a product operating model with strong partnership across engineering product and business stakeholders. We also use a spec-driven framework to guide delivery creating clarity in requirements improving alignment and enabling teams to move with greater speed and confidence.

As a Senior Software Engineer you will focus primarily on providing high quality efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built this capacity youll analyze code configure test debug document and maintain applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzes solutions develops tests debugs documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.

• Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.

• Uses DevSecOps practices tooling and techniques.

• Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training practice and innovation.

• Manages project priorities deadlines and deliverables proactively.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science management information systems or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Two or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java C Python JavaScript. Knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle moderately sophisticated business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria including leadership skills competencies and experiences may take precedence.
