Front-End Engineer, Core Shopping

Were looking for a Frontend Engineer II to design and build the systems powering Amazons next-generation Lists and Collaborative Shopping experiences.

Our team is re-imagining how hundreds of millions of customers curate discover and connect through lists. Were applying generative AI to transform Wish Lists shared lists gifting and collaborative shopping into intelligent personalized experiences on top of Tier-1 systems serving billions of daily requests across every Amazon surface.

Youll work on services that power these experiences and youll do it during a pivotal moment as we integrate AI-native capabilities into our core framework. This is a role for someone who enjoys end-to-end ownership: diving into ambiguous customer problems designing distributed systems that scale writing production code and measuring customer impact. Youll work across our full stack (back end services APIs and integrations with Amazons shopping ecosystem) and partner closely with applied scientists product managers and designers to ship features that customers use every day.

- 2 years of non-internship professional front end web or mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS experience
- 1 years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

- 1 years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML CSS JS TypeScript and Node

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
