Freight Coordinator

Essential Responsibilities

Dispatching & Routing

• Schedule dispatch and monitor drivers for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Plan efficient routes to minimize delays fuel usage and overall transportation costs.
• Adjust schedules quickly when delays or unexpected issues arise.

Operations Support

• Coordinate with warehouse customer service and logistics teams to ensure smooth load preparation and onâtime departures.
• Track shipments in real time and provide updates to internal teams and customers.

Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding routing instructions and load information.
• Communicate service issues proactively and provide solutions to prevent service failures.
• Build strong working relationships with drivers vendors carriers and customers.

System & Administrative Tasks

• Enter and update system with dispatch details load statuses and notes.

Qualifications

• 13 years experience in transportation dispatching or logistics (preferred).
• Mustpossesspositive team-work attitude and open to learning opportunities.
• Excellent communication and problemâsolving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fastâpaced environment and manage timeâsensitive tasks.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer
