Founding Engineer

Join a Series A cloud infrastructure company as a founding-level engineer building software that helps teams deploy and manage applications across cloud environments. This hands-on role spans infrastructure engineering production software development and direct customer problem-solving.

• Build production-grade software across cloud infrastructure surfaces.
• Own projects from architectural design through implementation and production deployment.
• Debug complex systems including investigating virtual machines logs and third-party open-source dependencies.
• Work directly with customers to resolve infrastructure problems and inform product decisions.
• Propose and drive projects in two-week cycles collaborating with the team on technical challenges.

• Five to eight years of experience building products in startup environments ideally across two startups.
• Experience shipping products end to end and owning systems in production.
• Hands-on infrastructure experience or strong generalist skills and demonstrated enthusiasm for cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to debug complex systems under pressure including through shell access and log analysis.
• High agency and comfort working without established playbooks or processes.
• Experience with networking Kubernetes distributed systems or cloud platforms is a plus.

Base salary: $200000 to $270000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in New York City five days per week.
