Job Title-Former Agency CIO / IT Leader (change management advisor)

Job Type-contract Hybrid 4 days

Job Location-Springfield IL

Key responsibilities:
Advise on change management strategy and stakeholder engagement for Finance and HCM transformations
Bring an insider view of how Illinois agencies operate decide and adopt change
Help anticipate agency-level resistance and design mitigation approaches
Support engagement with agency leadership and coach the team on navigating state government
Provide credibility and a trusted-peer voice with current agency stakeholders
Required experience:
Former CIO Deputy CIO or senior IT/ops leader at an Illinois state agency (or comparable state government)
Direct experience with large-scale system implementations or transformations in government
Deep understanding of state procurement governance and agency decision-making
Strong network and credibility across state agencies

Nice to have: Experience with SAP or ERP go-lives; prior involvement in the ERP program or similar statewide initiatives.
