ForkliftStacker Operator 1st Shift

Great Southern Wood Preserving Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking a forklift operator. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.

Forklift Essential Duties:

• Use pedals to go forward and backwards as well as be able to navigate a warehouse.
• Be able to use hydraulic controls to lift tilt and shift product for stacking or movement.

There are many departments that utilize forklifts some examples are listed below:

• Unloading trucks and placing product into the warehouse.
• Loading for production
• Moving product around the warehouse.
• Loading trucks for logistics to ship to customers.

The stacker operator is responsible for running the control system to move layers through the machine and into units. This person should be comfortable with manually operating controls at the operator station and understanding how the system works to keep the line running efficiently. Also needs to be able to move plywood or boards around if needed.

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or GED preferred

Must have previous forklift experience

Lumber experience a plus!
