Forklift Operator and Warehouse Associate

This role requires a skilled forklift operator who can also assist with counter sales and customer service duties. You will be responsible for handling shipments receiving goods verifying inventory and supporting warehouse logistics with precision and care.

• PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
• HOURS: 7:30am to 4:30pm (M-F)
• LOCATION: Urbandale IA 50323

• Hiring a Warehouse Associate with Forklift and Counter Sales or Customer Service experience to support an HVAC Manufacturing Organization that is the leader in climate control products. Need a team player who is okay with helping where needed in the store someone who can support Warehouse Operations - not just forklift; whether working in the warehouse at the counter helping customers or could be answering phones.
• Under general supervision performs manual warehouse and computer clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials supplies equipment and finished products.
• Receives goods verifies items against the record of shipment and inspects condition.
• Gathers verifies and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
• Routes materials supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Completes written and computerized documentation.
• High School diploma or GED - Required
• Drug Test
• Background Check (Felony and Misdemeanor last 7 years)
• Forklift operation - Required
• Counter Sales or Customer Service experience
• Computer skills to look up parts for customers and customer orders
• SAP EWM experience would be preferred
• Shipping and Receiving experience
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good computer skills required: Microsoft applications.
• General HVAC knowledge helpful
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual warehouse and computer clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials supplies equipment and finished products under general supervision.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
• Receive goods verify items against shipment records and inspect their condition.
• Gather verify and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record received and shipped items following established procedures.
• Route materials supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Complete written and computerized documentation accurately.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of drug test and background check (felony and misdemeanor last 7 years).
• Forklift operation experience is required.
• Counter sales or customer service experience.
• Computer skills to look up parts and customer orders.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP EWM.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• General HVAC knowledge.
