Job Summary
Pacific Coast Producers a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast is seeking a professional Forklift Driverwith the ability to high stack up to four (4) standard pallets high in a safe and efficient manner for our Distribution Centerin Woodland CA.PCP is investing in its people and advancing a culture of service where each employee can do their best to make affordable high-quality food for customers across North America. Our Lodi facility maintains production lines for canning apricots peaches and apple products.
Our Woodland Distribution Center is a new 500000 sq. ft. packaging labeling and distribution facility supporting retail and foodservice customers. With advanced technology and a strong commitment to quality and sustainability the DC is a model for excellence in distribution and logistics.
Pay Rate:$31.05 per hour. Weekend and overtime hours required when needed. This position is part of a seniority based collective bargaining unit and requires work on various shifts with potential for a great deal of overtime during the processing season. In addition to compensation the company offers an attractive and competitive health and welfare benefits program. This is an on-site role based at our Woodland CA Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Select stock in accordance with applicable instruction and deliver to proper warehouse or other locations.
- Store supplies of fiber empty cans and other products and keep records of products or supplies received or stored.
- Selects and delivers to appropriate crew or department the proper supply designated number or type of products.
- Pick up pallet loads of case goods canned product other supplies equipment etc. and transport.
- Stack pallets of goods (Pick up pallet move and position truck elevate load and deposit on top of stack. High stack load and deposit on top of stack.)
- Load or unload highway trailers and flatbeds or railroad cars.
- Maintain gas oil and water supply for applicable lift trucks
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to stack 2500-pound pallets in stacks of 4
- Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
- Relevant industrial experience.
- Committed to safety and food safety including use of appropriate protective equipment.
- Self-motivated and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Holds applicable licensing and certificate(s).
- Utilize communication skills to communicate effectively with team members supervisors and management personnel.
