Food & Beverage Supervisor

Four Points by Sheraton Tampa Airport Westshore managed by StepStone Hospitality is seeking an energetic and guest-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for the hotels front-of-house Food & Beverage operations while ensuring exceptional guest service efficient daily operations and consistent adherence to hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support daily Food & Beverage operations during assigned shifts.
• Provide hands-on leadership to servers bartenders banquet associates and other Food & Beverage team members as assigned.
• Ensure guests receive friendly professional efficient and attentive service.
• Monitor restaurant bar banquet and other Food & Beverage service areas to ensure established standards are consistently maintained.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure assigned areas are properly prepared for service.
• Assign duties and provide direction to associates based on business volume and operational needs.
• Assist with training coaching and developing Food & Beverage associates.
• Monitor associate performance and address service or operational concerns promptly.
• Respond professionally to guest questions requests and concerns and assist with service recovery when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with food safety sanitation responsible alcohol service and workplace safety requirements.
• Monitor cleanliness organization appearance and readiness of Food & Beverage areas.
• Assist with banquet and event setup and execution when needed.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure accurate and timely food service.
• Assist with inventory supplies and operational controls as assigned.
• Support proper cash-handling and point-of-sale procedures.
• Communicate effectively with Food & Beverage leadership and other hotel departments regarding operational needs and guest concerns.
• Help maintain appropriate staffing and productivity based on business levels.
• Lead by example and promote a positive professional and team-oriented work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous Food & Beverage experience required preferably in a hotel full-service restaurant bar banquet or hospitality environment.
• Previous supervisory lead or shift-leader experience preferred.
• Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide direction and support to associates while remaining actively involved in daily operations.
• Strong communication organization and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant and/or bar service standards.
• Experience with POS systems preferred.
• Food safety and responsible alcohol-service certifications preferred or ability to obtain required certifications.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including mornings evenings weekends and holidays based on business needs.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements associated with restaurant banquet and Food & Beverage operations.
