FMS Systems Engineer (Engineering Management Support)

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a FMS System Engineersupporting the ISR Sensors Division (AFLCMC/WIN) at Wright Patterson AFB OH. WIN is part of the ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI) who is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing producing testing modifying fielding and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms and related sub-systems.

The ISR/SOF Directorate has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping ISR & SOF warfighters to dominate the battlespace.

This is a full-time position onsite at Wright-Patt Air Force Base Ohio.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Possess the advanced knowledge experience and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in FMS Engineering Management Support. Must work independently and be able to apply procedures.
• Translate FMS user requirements into system requirements which will be used by the weapon system contractor to design develop fabricate test and evaluate systems subsystems and equipment for deployment.
• Assist in performing technical/mission analyses of operational requirements assist in developing system concepts and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.
• Assist with processes for drafting project documentation including SOOs and SOWs program plans schedules and presentations.
• Assist in drafting regulatory and statutory documentation to include but not be limited to the SEP and life cycle management plan.
• Assist in reviewing Contractor documents and data and providing comments.
• Assist test teams in the development of test requirements reviewing test plans.
• Assist in reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost design feasibility and system compatibility.
• Assist in supporting and conducting engineering performance effectiveness cost effectiveness cost performance life-cycle cost producibility maintainability supportability reliability technical/schedule risk assessment and scheduling trade-off studies.
• Assist in supporting the evaluation of IMP IMS and SEDS engineering cost estimates.
• Assist in the evaluation of systems test plans (such as systems test plans/test and evaluation master plans) and participate in the conduct of system subsystem and component testing.
• Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition development and verification of systems and equipment.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have at time of application a minimum of a Secret clearance
Education: Bachelors degree (or 7 years related experience with no degree)

Years of Experience: At least (5) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed three of which must be in the DoD.
