We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager Flight Systems to lead a team of engineers dedicated to the complete flight reentry this role you will be responsible for ensuring mission success and optimizing vehicle performance by leveraging both hardware and software expertise. The ideal candidate will guide the team using modern methodologies including Agile development Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Model-Based Development with a Digital Twin/Thread.

A strong background in Autonomy and AI/ML is desired along with familiarity with Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) hardware and software. You should also possess a comprehensive understanding of avionics systemsincluding power communications and flight computingfor space and hypersonic environments. A key responsibility will be to effectively communicate vehicle performance validated through simulation software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop demonstrations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead and mentor a team of GNC and Avionics engineers.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of flight systems from preliminary design to flight operations.
• Manage flight system development schedules resources and budgets to ensure milestones are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including structures propulsion and software to ensure system integration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
• Proven experience in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) and/or Avionics systems.
• Ability to manage 6 direct reports
• Current Clearance TS/SCI or ability to hold TS/SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Direct experience withreentry and/or hypersonicvehicle systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex aerospace projects.
