DNV is now looking for students who are ready to join us for the beginning of 2027 January - 2027 March. We are primarily looking for juniors/seniors who want to join our winter internship within Maritime Business.
The internship will last approximately 8-10 weeks. You will have the opportunity to work within various relevant technical disciplines. Our ambition is to give you a broad technical foundation to pursue your career further.
You will be given the chance to explore our Maritime organization and become familiar with the daily working life surveyors and/or technical employees. You will gain valuable surveying inspection and technical experience by shadowing our expert surveyors.
You will become well acquainted with the DNVs company culture and organization and expand your professional network. We are confident that we can offer an interesting challenging and fun experience!
What Youll Do
We will select Juniors/Seniors based on business needs aligned with your education experience and background.

We are primarily hiring candidates with relevant Bachelor or Masters program specializations from:
- Marine Engineering
- Marine Transportation/Operations
- Marine Machinery
- Marine Technology
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications
You are an adventurer with a passion for the Maritime industry and can identify yourself with our purpose vision and values. It is important to us that you fit well into the organization and working environment.
What Is Required:
Junior/Senior level in the above specified programs specializations
Please indicate your Bachelors or masters program specialization and/or main area of study during the application process.
Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well in any environment)
Flexible with work schedule on-board vessel or in field service
Current TWIC (Transpiration Worker Identification Credential) card or at the start of assignment
Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job: Climbing pilot ladders and vertical ladders of various heights entering and exiting tanks working in confined spaces performing pilot and boat transfers conducting voyage surveys and working in harsh climates. Travel to and from survey sites and manufacturing plants aboard various marine vessels. Some tasks may be performed in an office environment. The use of small tools and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with DNV safety procedures may also be required.
