Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile highly skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain diagnose and repair our diverse lineup of commercial vehicles and heavy demolition equipment. From semis and roll-off trucks to excavators and skid steers you will be the primary line of defense against equipment downtime. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong background in diesel mechanics heavy hydraulics and structural welding repairs.

Required Qualifications

• Mechanical Experience: Proven hands-on experience maintaining and repairing both commercial diesel trucks and heavy earth-moving equipment.

• System Knowledge: Deep technical understanding of diesel engine diagnostics complex hydraulic circuits heavy-duty suspensions and air brake systems.
• Safety Focus: Uncompromising commitment to shop safety protocols heavy lifting standards and hazardous materials handling (fluids batteries).
• Mobility: Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding Expertise: Strong background in MIG and Stick (SMAW) welding specifically related to heavy equipment repair and high-stress structural steel.
• CDL: A valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) to test drive and transport commercial vehicles.
• Certifications: ASE Medium-Heavy Truck certifications fluid power (hydraulics) certifications or specific manufacturer training (e.g. CAT Bobcat Mack Kenworth).
