Fisheries Research Scientist

Job Description:

• PhD in fisheries science or marine biology
• Experience in population genetics and genomics
• Take a primary role in grant writing and assist in fund-raising efforts
• Molecular experience required
• Generating and analyzing genomic and transcriptomic sequencing data for fisheries or aquaculture applications

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

• PhD with experience in fisheries science genetics genomics or marine biology
• Previous computational software experience in Linux Perl or Python or similar software experience required
• Preferred grant writing experience
• 2 3 years practical field experience required
• Background in developing computational models and field work
