The Opportunity

As an Experienced Fire Sprinkler Apprentice you will work alongside licensed sprinkler technicians to install repair and maintain fire sprinkler systems. This is a hands-on field role with real opportunities for training advancement and long-term growth within State Fire.

You will apply your existing experience while continuing to develop technical skills through field training and industry education.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of fire sprinkler systems
  • Read review and follow plans drawings and job specifications
  • Load unload lift and transport pipe and sprinkler materials
  • Use trade-specific tools such as hand tools saws and pipe cutters
  • Follow MSHA and OSHA safety requirements at all times
  • Participate in required training
  • Work 10- or 12-hour shifts when necessary and on-call rotation as needed
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous fire sprinkler experience with install/contract work preferred
  • Willingness to continue learning and advancing in the fire sprinkler trade
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a national criminal background check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment urinalysis and random testing as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules on-call rotations and occasional overnight travel

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand kneel crouch stoop and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders scaffolding and stairs
  • Ability to work in confined or difficult-access spaces
  • Ability to safely lift carry and place materials up to 70 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
