Role Overview

The Fire Install Manager is responsible for leading fire alarm technicians installers and technical installation support teams to deliver projects successfully from order through warranty. This role balances customer satisfaction financial performance scheduling code compliance and team development while supporting seamless project execution and turnover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Electronic Fire Alarm delivery process to ensure projects are executed safely efficiently and to customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to review customer requirements contractual obligations and the best application for each project.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers from the initial order point through the warranty period.
  • Manage direct costs indirect costs accounts receivable and profitability within the approved financial plan.
  • Oversee submittals engineering support technical support installation schematics equipment delivery outside purchasing scheduling labor planning and approvals.
  • Work closely with the service department to support smooth project turnover.
  • Manage installation requirements including material purchasing project scheduling programming and operating systems in line with customer specifications and applicable code requirements.
  • Set performance goals and measurements that help staff achieve and exceed productivity expectations.
  • Support hiring coaching mentoring training and development of local installation staff.
  • Ensure employees follow corporate safety programs and that required safety training remains complete and current.
  • Complete workplace accident investigations as required and escalate safety hazards that need corrective action.
  • Follow all applicable federal provincial and local laws as well as company policies and procedures.

  • You will win as one team by building trust across technicians installers support staff and partner functions while valuing different perspectives.
  • You will maintain disciplined control of schedules labor purchasing and documentation so the team can deliver consistently and predictably.
  • You will reinforce a strong safety culture through training follow-through and prompt action when conditions require attention.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or diploma in a related field such as CFFA Fire & Life Safety or Electrical Engineering preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 8 years of experience in field operations management and fire industry experience preferably in Fire Alarm operations.
  • Proven management and leadership abilities including branch administration coaching mentoring and training & development.
  • Ability to read and comprehend financial statements.
  • Strong interpersonal written communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable local provincial and federal codes.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word Excel and Project.
Nice to Have
  • Fire alarm operations leadership experience.
  • Experience reviewing the terms of construction contracts.
  • NICET Level 3 Fire Alarm Systems.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $115100-$172000 (Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual group and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
