How you will do it
- Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections
- Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection
- Professionallyrepresent the company at all times
- Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through communicating devices such as laptop computers smartphones and/or hardcopy
- Follow andmaintaina highly structured inspection schedule
- Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
- Complete assigned inspections on time
- Perform other duties as directed
- Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and be capable of performing physical labor
- Assistforemanin the installation of wet dry pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems
- Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment
- Be enrolled in Grinnells approved Apprenticeship Programmaintainingall requirements of the Apprenticeship Standards
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly
Qualifications External
What we look for
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- NICET Icertification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Able to obtain andretainany licensesthat are requiredby National State and Local codes.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints diagrams submittals specificationsprogramsschematics and operational/product manuals.
- Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficultpositionsuch as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation nights and weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Willingto travel out of town.
- Demonstratea high levelof customer service.
- Ability to adhere to implement andfollow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Strong organizational skills positive attitude andan abilityto learn quickly.
- Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.10 - $27.60 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experienceknowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with marketdata.)
