Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to support the programming commissioning testing troubleshooting and servicing of commercial fire alarm and life-safety systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with EST3/EST4 programming and be comfortable working with customers installation teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program configure test and commission fire alarm systems.
  • Perform EST3 and EST4 programming and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot fire alarm panels devices SLC loops NAC circuits and related equipment.
  • Verify alarm supervisory trouble annunciation and sequence-of-operation functions.
  • Support installation teams and subcontractors at project sites.
  • Perform system startups inspections testing and commissioning.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings schematics and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve programming electrical and installation issues.
  • Provide customer support and explain system operation.
  • Prepare programming documentation service reports commissioning documents and system backups.
  • Assist with as-built documentation and project turnover.
  • Ensure systems comply with applicable fire and life-safety codes and project specifications.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience working with fire alarm systems.
  • Hands-on EST3 / EST4 programming experience required.
  • Experience with fire alarm installation service troubleshooting and commissioning.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Experience using tools such as multimeters tone generators and battery testers.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent technical experience.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel locally to job sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICET Fire Alarm certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with additional fire alarm platforms such as Notifier Fire-Lite Bosch Simplex or Silent Knight.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 NFPA 70 NFPA 101 NFPA 25 and IBC.
  • Technical degree in electronics electrical systems fire protection or a related field.
Physical / Field Requirements
  • Ability to work in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Ability to climb stand walk bend crawl and work from ladders or lifts.
  • Ability to work at elevated locations when required.
  • Willingness to travel locally to customer and project sites.

Ideal Candidate: Fire Alarm Technician Fire Alarm Programmer Fire Alarm Systems Specialist or Systems Technician with strong EST3/EST4 programming and commissioning experience.
