Financial Reporting Accountant

Southeastern Louisiana Universitys Department of the Controllers Office invites applications for the position of Financial Reporting Accountant. The major function of this position is financial accounting duties including bank reconciliations asset management sales tax preparation and reconciliation and journals. This position will also assist in the preparation of the annual financial report annual athletic reports and any other reports requested by the system office and OSRAP with all applicable federal and state requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of accounting or auditing experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Other Bachelors degree may be substituted for Bachelors degree in Accounting with at least seven years of accounting or auditing experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Define problems establish facts collect data and draw valid conclusions

Familiarity with and ability to operate office equipment including typewriters calculators and personal computers with or without a reasonable accommodation

Basic mathematical skills (addition subtraction multiplication and division)
