ABOUT THE ROLE

The Financial Control & Budget Analyst is responsible for providing financial oversight and analytical support across the lifecycle of utility-scale solar storage and renewable energy projects. This role serves as a key business partner to Project Management Engineering Procurement Construction Development and Finance teams by ensuring project costs are accurately tracked forecasted and managed against approved budgets.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Monitor project expenditures commitments accruals and forecasts against approved project budgets.
• Maintain project cost reports and provide regular visibility into budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Partner with Project Managers and functional leaders to identify analyze and explain budget variances.
• Administer the project change order process from initiation through approval and implementation.
• Ensure project costs are accurately categorized and aligned with approved cost structures.
• Develop maintain and reconcile Budget at Completion (BAC) Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) documenting assumptions and explaining changes from prior forecasts.
• Calculate monitor and maintain a project dashboard for all KPIs associated with the construction phase of a project.
• Maintain financial reporting by Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) ensuring budgets actual costs commitments accruals forecasts and approved changes are consistently mapped to the appropriate work packages.
• Collaborate with individual department as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization to develop and maintain project construction forecast.
• Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
• Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn company-specific software programs tools processes and machines.
• Skills/Attributes:
  • Self-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities including a high level of detail and organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data identify trends solve problems and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel Power BI Tableau or similar reporting platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite SAP Oracle or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with project management and construction systems such as Procore Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.
