- 11am to 7pm (One day per week) 9am to 5pm (4 days per week)
- Evening and weekend work required: Open Houses/Accepted Students Day
REMOTE WORK: No
TRAVEL:Conferences: 1-2 per year distance and duration varies usually requires airline travel. Off-site meetings for NYSFAA or trainings: 1-3 per year always locally within 10 miles
HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR:35hours/week and 52 weeks/year

GENERAL PURPOSE
Assist in the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office by providing administrative and student support promptly to financial aid phone inquiries emails and voicemail messages ensuring accurate and timely front counter duties as assigned providing exceptional customer service to students parents and campus students and families answer questions and provide financial aid counseling and guidance when with the Human Resources department to administer tuition remission and the Graduate Assistant the default prevention process by monitoring student loan repayment and implementing outreach strategies to reduce loan the student loan exit counseling process for graduating and withdrawn students to ensure compliance with federal accurate student records and ensure adherence to institutional state and federal financial aid policies and the Financial Aid Office in delivering high-quality service while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering phones work counter counsel parents and student on financial aid
- Process tuition remission and send out special award letters Follow up with students by email phone and letters concerning Tuition remission and loan counseling.
- Review all subsequents (ISIRS) Institutional student information reports
- Manage graduating withdrawn or below half time students
- Assist with Financial aid Emails and Voicemail.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years of work related experience
- Microsoft Office (Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel)
- PowerFAIDS (Financial Aid System)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- Jenzabar Software
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
- Daily contact requiring courtesy discretion and sound judgment.
SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge skills and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly range for this position is $21.00 to $22.00. This hourly rate represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
