Finance Operations Intern

Job Summary
- Develop and maintain models used to calculate fully burdened cost rates.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of budgets across a variety of functional areas.
- Support finance team activities related to external audits.
- Contribute to special projects involving deferred revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Learn and support monthly financial close and reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in developing reports dashboards and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to real-world business challenges.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a bachelors degree in finance Accounting or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies.
- Coursework in GAAP accounting principles financial reporting or related subjects.
- Previous internship co-op project leadership or work experience in a professional environment.
- Interest in financial analysis budgeting reporting and business operations.
- Experience using data analysis tools dashboards or reporting platforms.
- Strategic mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- Demonstrated leadership through academic volunteer extracurricular or community activities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to identify innovative solutions and recommend process improvements.
