Finance Manager, AWS Connect

Job Summary
This role works across the Amazon Connect business team to own new product pricing strategies for our Connect AI products drive better understanding of growth opportunities customer adoption trends and break down blockers to growth. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively manage time sensitive deliverables across a matrixed organization along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage and develop the financial analysis processes for reporting on AWS revenue pricing capex and operating expenses.
- Partner with and proactively communicate across the finance community to coordinate a complex and interconnected series of deliverables.
- Support ad-hoc requests and assist in various requests from finance executives.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize streamline and prioritize improvements remove roadblocks and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
- 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 5 years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
- 5 years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
