Overview

The Senior Finance Data Analyst partners with Finance Business Operations and Technology teams to deliver highquality analytics and business intelligence that enable datadriven decisionmaking. This role translates financial and operational needs into actionable data solutions supports data governance initiatives and continuously improves reporting processes to enhance efficiency accuracy and scalability. This individual will lead complex analytics mentors others and drives improvements in financial data quality scalability and insight generation.

Scope & Impact

  • Leads crossfunctional or multidomain initiatives

  • Impacts multiple teams or Finance subdomains

  • Trusted advisor to Finance leadership on data and reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design of complex financial data models and analytics

  • Partner with Finance Product and Technology stakeholders on transformation initiatives

  • Establish best practices for reporting validation and documentation

  • Mentor Analyst I and II team members

  • Proactively identify data gaps risks and improvement opportunities

  • Respond to ad hoc financial data and reporting requests ensuring accuracy consistency and timely delivery.

  • Evaluate streamline and optimize manual processes and legacy reporting to improve efficiency data integrity and scalability.

  • Act as a liaison between finance business operations and technology teams to address evolving business challenges and enable effective data solutions.

  • Makes recommendations that influence priorities and approaches

  • Anticipates issues and resolves them proactively

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Mathematics Data Science or a related field.

  • Experience working with financial data and systems in a data analyst business analyst or similar analytical role.

  • Proficiency in data querying and analysis using SQL Python or comparable tools.

  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau Looker or similar).

  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial data structures.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience in planning and/or project management.

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience.

Location: Chicago IL; this is a hybrid role with a 3-day in office requirement


Annual Salary

$86100.00 - $133250.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role the selected candidates work experience education and training the work location as well as market and business considerations.
