Summary This is a client-facing financial advisory role. You’d build financial forecasts for business-owner clients and advise them on how to allocate spending across gross margins marketing personnel and owner draws. You’d work with clients to set short- and long-term financial goals find areas to optimize and push them toward changes in behavior that improve their business. Beyond finance you’re expected to give practical solutions for operational problems too. What You Will Be Doing
Drive plans for major financial strategies spending system management and financial processes/controls Collaborate with clients on short- and long-term financial goals Proactively advise on industry standards for expenses people costs marketing spend and owner draws Advise on compensation plan best practices and help build the right model for each role Work with each client to develop Corporate Department and Employee KPIs
Optimize and analyze income statements balance sheets cash flow statements budgets forecasts and charts of accounts Manage the quarterly/annual budgeting revenue forecasting and financial review process comparing actual to budget performance Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages activity reports and forecasts Create and deliver financial details and summaries to Cardone Ventures’ Leadership Team and clients
Prepare presentations on industry best practices then tailor future calls to close each client’s specific gaps Keep accurate recaps of every call and a detailed history of each client’s progress from contract start
Engage face-to-face with executive leadership and cross-functional departments to drive financial alignment Participate on-site in strategic meetings to give immediate context-rich operational guidance Fully immerse yourself in the company’s collaborative high-energy culture
Going beyond finance to deliver actionable solutions for operational challenges Acting as a catalyst in 10X Financial Services motivating transformative change in clients’ behaviors Experience and Education Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance Accounting Business or a related field or equivalent work experience Experience: At least 5 years in finance and accounting preferably in a consulting capacity
Understand all aspects of a client’s business from a financial standpoint and how it ties to their strategy and current standing Analyze revenue streams gross margin rates and profitability by product to find opportunities Help clients decide based on margins labor rates cash position and financial obligations Understand the month-end close cycle and walk a client through the checklist Build complex financial models budgets and reporting packages Analyze the P&L Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows to set strategy and decide where resources and personnel time go Design individual incentives based on performance metrics and KPIs Make recommendations that grow revenue and improve profitability Understand cash vs. accrual accounting the benefits of each and the impact of switching Intermediate Excel skills (functions and formulas) |
