Clean Harbors in Kent WA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up site-remediation equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. Including respirators skin face hand and foot protection in a multiple number of in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents some of which may be hazardous toxic or in potentially elevated noise levels confined spaces including lifting in areas of low at elevations including working from ladders and in field sampling activities and calibration of ladders scaffolding and into and out of trucks tanks and various other extended (> 8 hrs.) time all compliance and safety update drums for container integrity and regulatory loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste stream sampling and profiling as all local state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT local state (provincial) and federal observe all corporate operating guidelines and all company environmental health and safety operating other duties as position ability to be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other position site-remediation equipment decontamination and the handling of hazardous Qualifications:Reliable to perform physical functions per Key position includes emergency response a continuing condition of employment is agreeing to be on-call; on occasion working on weekends and holidays will be required; emergency response situations can extend beyond 8 hours up to 12-24 physical functions per job complete a background check drug test and physical by OSHAs Respiratory Protection standard 29 CFR 1910.34 employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair Qualifications:Valid Drivers relevant labor Harbors is an equal opportunity Harbors is committed to providing access equal opportunity and reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities in employment its services programs and activities.
