Job Summary

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing field service activities at customer sites in a safe efficient and professional manner. This role focuses on troubleshooting repairing maintaining and installing pumps and related mechanical equipment. The technician will diagnose equipment issues perform preventative maintenance manage service calls and provide professional customer service while working independently in the field.

We encourage individuals with backgrounds in field service mechanical maintenance industrial equipment pumps rotating equipment diesel hydraulics construction or related skilled trades to apply. Candidates with experience working with water and wastewater equipment or industrial pumping systems are encouraged to bring their technical skills and customer service mindset to this role.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting diagnostics repair and preventative maintenance on pumps and related mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect equipment identify mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or corrective actions.
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes lubrication component replacement and equipment inspections.
  • Install repair and maintain pumping systems and associated equipment.
  • Maintain service parts inventory and accurately complete service reports and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company and customer safety standards.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment condition repairs and maintenance recommendations.
  • Maintain company vehicles tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing service calls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer needs.
  • Demonstrate accountability professionalism and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 13 years of field service industrial maintenance mechanical maintenance or related technical experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps rotating equipment diesel-powered equipment or other industrial machinery.
  • Experience working with industrial pumping systems or water and wastewater equipment preferred.
  • Previous experience in mining industrial construction or heavy equipment environments preferred.
  • Industry-specific certifications or licenses preferred.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Knowledge of pumps motors rotating equipment hydraulics diesel equipment or similar mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and service documentation.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Travel and Driving Requirements

  • Travel to customer sites is required with overnight travel as needed based on business needs.
  • This position requires operating a company service vehicle. Candidates must have and maintain a valid drivers license and a clean driving record that meets company standards.
  • Candidates must successfully complete all required driver DOT medical and background screening requirements.
  • Ability to obtain required customer site clearances and safety certifications including MSHA training and other site-specific requirements as needed.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work safely in industrial environments and comply with all customer safety requirements.
  • Ability to lift carry and move equipment and tools as required for the position.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Compensation & Benefits
