This position reports to:
Manager Field EngineeringIn this role you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid out of Danbury CT with 50-60% travel required. #LI-Hybrid
Your role and responsibilities:
Install commission troubleshoot maintain and repair Force Measurement products and systems at customer sites ensuring safe reliable and efficient operation.
Diagnose technical issues analyze equipment performance and implement corrective actions to resolve problems and improve system reliability and customer satisfaction.
Support field projects by performing equipment testing start-up activities modifications inspections preventive maintenance and detailed documentation of service activities.
Collaborate with customers contractors vendors and internal engineering teams to provide technical expertise recommend solutions and ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual commitments.
Utilize engineering software and tools to collect operational data perform calculations evaluate system performance and prepare service reports and maintenance records.
Travel extensively (approximately 50-60%) to domestic and international customer locations providing on-site support on planned and emergency service assignments including occasional weekends and holidays.

Qualificationsfor the role:
HS Diploma/GED and 5 years of professional work experience; Associates Degree and 3 years of professional work experience; OR Bachelors Degree and one year of professional work experience
Experience with Force Measurement Products or Field Service Engineering experience is preferred
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and be electro-mechanically inclined
Good verbal and written communication skills in english and knowledge of MS Word and Excel suite products is required
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (at times) up to 60% of the time.
Candidates must already haveworkauthorization that wouldpermitthem to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicants qualifications and experience this position is expected to pay between $58500 and $93600 annually.
