Field Service Technician

MondayFriday 7:00 AM3:30 PM 40 hours/week

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to support the operation and maintenance of decentralized wastewater treatment systems.

This is an entry-level hands-on field position. Previous wastewater experience is not requiredthe company will train the right person and provide support toward obtaining the required wastewater operator license.

• Travel to wastewater treatment stations throughout the workday.
• Collect process and compliance samples including pH testing.
• Monitor flow rates chemical levels and equipment status.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections and minor repairs.
• Respond to system alarms and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs photos testing data and compliance documentation.
• Follow EPA environmental and company safety procedures.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid drivers license and acceptable 5-year MVR.
• Must pass a background check.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Dependable detail-oriented and willing to learn.
• Comfortable using email and basic computer applications.
• Able to work independently outdoors and spend much of the day driving between sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain the required wastewater operator license within 12 months.
• Plumbing electrical mechanical maintenance field service or wastewater experience is a plus but not required.

• Approximately 2 weeks of hands-on training alongside an experienced technician.
• Company provides required tools and PPE.
• Company provides training and assistance toward wastewater licensing.
• Additional stipend for on-call rotation.
• If dispatched while on call hours worked are paid at time-and-a-half.
• Opportunity to take the company vehicle home after the probationary period and demonstrated dependability.
