Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Service & Technical Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for conducting repair maintenance andtroubleshooting work on sold products especially polishing machines (for fiber optic product) at companys office.
Based in Atlanta visit customers sites throughout the United States Mexico and other regions within the Americas toconduct follow-up activities on sold products provide product explanations and support sales activities. Regulardomestic and international customer visits are required.
Successfully resolve technical service and business development issues to facilitate on-going synergistic business
with core Accounts.
Develop relationships with design and development engineers purchasing and material control management tosupport customer needs and ensure that company capitalizes on design-in cycles.
Serve as an effective communicator and liaison regarding technical and business development issues with
appropriate counterparts in Japan and China (as this pertains to local and global customers).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide after sales support including repair maintenance and troubleshooting to the core customers
that represent major business the initial training period travel with experiencedservice engineers to customer sites to gain hands-onexperience in troubleshooting repair and customer support. (35%)
Visit customer sites to conduct follow-up explain on sold products and support sales activities.(25%)
Work closely and effectively as sales team to develop customer solutions (15%)
Facilitate cooperation between customers distributors reps and companys oversea engineers.(10%)
Support to Operations dept. physical inventory inbound shipments material movement etc.(10%)
Other tasks or duties as assigned.(10%)
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience: 3-5 years of experience of field service equipment maintenance technical supportsales engineer or related technical with equipment related to optical fiber manufacturing or other industrialautomation or production equipment is a plus.
Education: BA / Degree in engineering or equivalent technical background in mechanical engineering optics automation mfg. process design.
Equipment Experience: Computer literate; MS Office Word Excel PowerPoint and Teams
Special Skills: Skills in production equipment training and motivation
Language: Fluent in English is required. Spanish language skill is strongly preferred.
SCOPE OF AUTHORITY/PROBLEM SOLVING
Must be comfortable with performing mechanical repairs as part of the after sales support for FOPD ME products.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Good organizational skills and follow through a must.
We need a self-starter who is experienced in working with others to accomplish objectives in a positive non-abrasive manner.
