Position Summary
American Guard Services is seeking an experienced professional dependable and motivated
Field Security Supervisorto provide leadership and operational support for our security team.
The ideal candidate will have previous security supervisory or management experience and
demonstrate the ability to lead employees of different ages backgrounds personalities and
experience levels. Candidates with law enforcement or military leadership/training
experience are encouraged to apply although direct security management experience is
preferred.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively supervise officers in the field
maintain accountability provide training and coaching respond to incidents and ensure
officers consistently meet AGS and client expectations.
Minimum Qualifications 12 years of security supervisory or security management experience preferred.
Prior experience in the security industry.
Law enforcement or military leadership supervisory or training experience is desirable and
may be considered as relevant experience.
Security management experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise employees across different age groups and
experience levels.
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coach train motivate and professionally correct employees.
Ability to remain professional and make sound decisions during stressful situations.
Strong written communication and incident-reporting skills.
Ability to understand and enforce company policies client requirements and post orders.
Dependable attendance and ability to respond to operational needs.
Must meet all applicable licensing and employment requirements for the assigned position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Field Security Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and supporting officers
assigned to their shift including conducting field and site inspections; ensuring proper staffing
and post coverage; monitoring attendance uniforms professionalism and performance;
responding to incidents and operational concerns; reviewing reports and documentation;
enforcing post orders and company/client requirements; and communicating significant issues
through the proper chain of command.
The supervisor will also assist with training and retraining officers conduct post-order and
security-awareness reviews identify performance deficiencies provide coaching and
corrective guidance and document concerns requiring management attention.
Leadership Expectations
AGS is seeking a supervisor who can earn the respect of employees while maintaining clear
expectations and accountability. The successful candidate must be comfortable supervising
both newer and experienced officers and be able to adjust their leadership and communication
approach appropriately without lowering professional standards.
The Field Supervisor must be willing to lead by example remain visible in the field
communicate professionally address problems promptly and support employees who
demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve.
This position requires someone who understands that leadership is more than giving
instructionsit requires developing employees building teamwork maintaining
accountability and creating consistency across the security operation.
Training & Quality Control
Field Supervisors will participate in AGSs enhanced training and quality-control program and
may be responsible for:
New-officer field training and orientation.
Post-order and site-specific training.
Security-awareness training.
Customer-service and professional-conduct coaching.
Emergency-response and incident procedures.
Report-writing and documentation training.
Refresher and corrective training.
Officer performance evaluations and knowledge checks.
Documenting completed training and providing supervisory sign-off.
Final authorization for officers to independently hold designated posts will remain subject to
the appropriate upper-management review and approval process.
Preferred Candidate
The strongest candidate will have direct security supervisory/management experience and
a demonstrated history of successfully leading security personnel. Candidates with leadership
experience obtained through law enforcement or military service will also receive
consideration when that experience demonstrates relevant supervisory training operational
and personnel-management skills.
