What Youll Do
The Field Applications Engineer is primarily responsible for cultivating business opportunities through activities such as technical product application support product demonstrations joint calls with sales personnel direct customer visits and product training. The FAE diligently expands IronRidges network of influence and leverages their expertise to continually promote the IronRidge value proposition.
- Plan territory technical sales visits events trainings
- Generate training reports to ensure all customer and sales engagements are being accounted for and captured
- Coordinate and provide on-the-job (OJT) training for new opportunities on the ground and rooftop
- Provide customer feedback on improvements to products and/or training content.
- Leverage professional network coordinating training and with non-competing solar manufacturers in an effort to generate product demand.
- Organize and assist in the development of curriculum for new products/services including reference library multimedia visual aids and other educational material
- Maintain records as needed and report on relevant changes in the weekly meeting to keep everyone appraised of changes in products market trends and code compliance.
- Regularly report on competitive landscape of region and other market intelligence
- Design PV layouts in IR and other PV design software to support Sales Distributors and End Users
- Accurately document application support questions and calls
- Provides feedback to Engineering and Product Teams for product development
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
What Youll Bring
- Three to five years related experience and/or training or a bachelors degree from a 4-year college or university; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret professional journals technical installation and engineering procedures and governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift and carry solar modules up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable working at heights including rooftop
- Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM systems) and MS Excel and able to learn and adapt to a variety of software tools.
- Competency in solar layout design mounting waterproofing and racking for residential and light commercial installations.
- Ability to speak in public to small and large groups.
- OSHA 10 Construction required
- NABCEP certification a plus
- Spanish a plus
Where Youll Be Located
This position is based in Northeast with a preference for candidates in New England.

We offer competitive compensation determined by each individuals relevant experience skills education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $100000-$112000/annually if located in the New England addition to base salary Enstall Solar Group employees are eligible for either an annual bonus or commission depending on their position. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates we hope youll still apply as there may be other positions that better align.
