Location: Fully remote opportunity available anywhere in the United States. Work from where you are while collaborating with a nationally focused legal team on sophisticated False Claims Act and complex litigation matters.

Note: Candidates must have 10 years of private practice legal experience including 5 years of substantive False Claims Act investigations and/or litigation experience and a portable book of business of at least $250000. Candidates may be licensed in any U.S. state but must apply for DC Bar admission before their first day of employment. A writing sample of at least 10 pages and law school transcript are required with submission.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage sophisticated False Claims Act investigations litigation compliance matters and related disputes.
  • Represent clients before the Department of Justice agency Offices of Inspector General and other government authorities.
  • Defend clients in False Claims Act litigation including qui tam actions investigations appeals settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Advise clients on FCA risk management fraud mitigation mandatory disclosures compliance programs and internal safeguards.
  • Conduct and oversee internal audits and investigations involving potential fraud and FCA exposure.
  • Respond to civil and administrative subpoenas civil investigative demands and other government inquiries.
  • Counsel clients on suspension and debarment matters and related government contracting risks.
  • Develop and deliver practical FCA compliance guidance and training for clients and their teams.
  • Coordinate crisis management and multidisciplinary teams on complex and sensitive matters.
  • Handle additional complex commercial government contracts construction white collar civil labor and employment and other litigation matters as needed.
  • Lead teams supervise associates mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships while leveraging an existing portable book of business.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. state.
  • Ability and willingness to apply for DC Bar admission before the first day of employment.
  • 10 years of private practice legal experience.
  • 5 years of substantive False Claims Act investigations and/or litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience independently servicing and leading complex litigation matters.
  • Portable book of business of at least $250000.
  • Strong experience with FCA investigations litigation compliance government enforcement or related fraud matters.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and supervising associates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication research advocacy and client relationship skills.
  • Maryland Virginia DC Texas California and/or Florida Bar admission preferred.

Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):

  • 10 to 14 years: $300000 to $320000
  • 15 to 19 years: $320000 to $340000
  • 20 years: $340000 to $360000
