As a Facilities Technician III is a senior-level maintenance professional responsible for the installation repair troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of facility systems and equipment. This role performs advanced maintenance activities supports production and operational continuity ensures regulatory compliance and provides technical guidance to junior technicians. The Facilities Technician III works independently to maintain building infrastructure utilities mechanical systems and equipment in a safe and efficient operatingcondition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting repair and maintenance of facility systems including HVAC electrical plumbing compressed air and building infrastructure.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine corrective actions using technical drawings manuals and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain and repair industrial machinery facility equipment and utility systems.
- Monitor facility operations and respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by contractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations building codes company policies and environmental requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records work orders inspections and equipment history documentation.
- Support facility improvement projects equipment installations and renovations.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures preventive maintenance schedules and standard work instructions.
- Train and mentor Facilities Technicians I and II on maintenance best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings energy efficiency and process improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as required.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and promoting safe work practices.
Qualifications
- 5 years of facilities maintenance industrial maintenance or building systems maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic and facility utility systems.
- Experience working within a manufacturing industrial transportation rail or similar technical environment preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
