Job Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic will work under limited supervision performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications blueprints schematics and locally generated instructions.

Essential Functions:

60%- Perform facilities maintenance duties Carpentry Flooring Sheet Rock etc.

20%- Install new equipment.

5%- Repair HVAC equipment general Electrical Maintenance Production machinery upkeep/

repair/ maintenance general welding millwright activities or carpentry.

10%- Conduct preventative maintenance predictive maintenance electro-mechanical and

mechanical work.

5%- General shop upkeep cleaning and/or organizing.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Valid state issued Drivers License.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior maintenance or related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior maintenance or related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Considerable knowledge and understanding of service and installation processes of industrial equipment.

Plans designs and oversees the reconfiguration maintenance construction and alteration of equipment machinery buildings structures and other facilities

Qualification for respirator and breathing air devices and work on fire/rescue teams.

Continued education in a maintenance discipline and cross training into other disciplines within the department will be required as needed.
